Booster Club Info

This year we are looking forward to another exciting year of Girls Lacrosse. The success of our program is directly a result of our fantastic coaches, dedicated players and amazing parents.

Now that we have established that you are all amazing parents, the Booster club needs your help. Specifically we are looking for some parents to step up and volunteer for the areas listed below. If you are interested in chairing one of these areas, please contact Jane Sanderson at 4ujane@att.net or call 404-822-5263.

Team Dinner Coordinator- this year we will have our team dinners at the school immediately following practice. Depending on the weather they will be held in the outside pavilion, on the field or in the school media center or café. This person would plan the menu and coordinate with other parents to bring in items for the team dinner. Both JV and Varsity will participate in the team dinners together.

Concession Stand – this person will select and purchase the items to sell during home games as well as put together a volunteer schedule to staff the concession stand during both JV and Varsity games.

Tastefest – this event will be held Nov 12th. The Tastefest chair will be our liaison with the RHS Tastefest committee. In addition to selling Tastefest tickets, the Girls Lacrosse team has an opportunity to make some money by selling items or participating in the raffle and/or auction.

Senior Night – as with tradition, the last home game is an evening that we recognize the Senior players and their families. This person will coordinate the Senior night events, including, decorations, program, etc to make it a special event for our seniors to remember.

Banquet – we need a chair person to oversee all aspects of the end of year banquet. This includes facility coordination, meal selection, ticket sales, presentation/media setup, decorations, awards, etc.

Game Volunteer Coordinator – we need someone to schedule and manage our volunteers for home games. Specifically, announcers, clock runner, and snacks. In addition to setting a schedule this person will contact each person prior to the game to ensure availability… make sure they remember to show up!!!

Field Coordinator – this person will make sure that the field is in ready to play condition. This includes lines on the field and coordinating with the Boy’s Lacrosse counterpart on field issues.

Team Parent Varsity – coordinate any specific activities or info for the Varsity team

Team Parent JV – coordinate any specific activities or info for the JV team

On the following Sunday, 18 September,  the Fall Ball Team is planning on participating in a Play Day up in Greenville, SC put on by Lax Institute Lacrosse.  An easy day trip that will get us games against North and South Carolina teams and some Atlanta clubs.

  • Date- Sept 18th
  • Time- 9-3 ( schedule coming soon)
  • Location- Woodside Park (700 Woodside Avenue, Fountain Inn S.C.). Directions to be sent with schedule

The cost per player is $20 for a 16 player roster. What a deal! First 16 of our players to respond to this email are on the roster.  If we get 24 or more players to commit (including two goalies) we will put two teams into the Play Day. Transportation and meals are the players responsibility.
